But, none of that really matters.
It's WHY we're here that counts! I just wanted you to know a little bit about the person you're 'talking' to!
I'll Sell Your Book- You Sell Mine was created out of a desire to promote not only my own book, but to find a creative way of doing it while at the same time helping others do the same.
It's an "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine" approach to Internet marketing.
You see, I've learned that most marketing efforts require either vast amounts of time and/or money. I don't mind spending the time, but I don't have the money.
Without an advertising budget, I've had to work very hard and be extremely creative, in promoting my book. The only thing I invested was time and brain power. I want to share my promotional tools with you, this site being the newest brainchild. I want you to be less frustrated than I was when I began my marketing efforts, and I hope the resources here help ease that frustration. The top free Internet promotional tools I've used are: banner exchanges, link exchanges, free advertising, free topsite listings and webrings.
Have my efforts paid off? Certainly! Some better than others. However, I believe when people help people, it's a win-win situation and there's success written all over whatever your goal is. That's what this site is all about.
The goal here is to promote and sell each other's books, creating virtual bookstores all over the Internet! WOW! By doing this, we increase our rankings in search engines, gain additional exposure had we not teamed up, and can feel good about helping a fellow writer!
This is not a one way street. It's about teamwork, support, playing fair and wanting to succeed.
While I'm a fairly easy going kind of person, there are some rules that need to be followed if you want to participate in "I'll Sell Your Book- You Sell Mine." Actually, make that ONE rule: You MUST reciprocate the book link! Simple, huh? I'll be checking. That's not because I don't trust you, I do. However, I have to keep the integrity and backbone of this reciprocal concept alive- or it will fail. If someone has their book listed here in 'da bookstore', and my book isn't listed on their site, well, it's just not fair and the book link will be removed.
Although this is free, it's got to be a reciprocal deal. No ands, ifs or buts about it!
With that being said, I'll get off the rule thing. I think you get the point. :)
I hope you enjoy this new and innovative concept. Although much like a link exchange, this is a collaboration of team players all shooting for the same successful star. This is grassroots to the bone- and it's all about books and the authors who wrote them being SEEN.
Thanks for participating, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave a message in the guestbook, or drop me a line.
The MOST success to ALL!
Ellen
