Here you will find some terrific webrings geared specifically towards books, authors, bookstores, etc., and then some that are targeted towards plain old shopping, etc.  I mean, you want people to buy your book, right?  So, why not list it in a webring targeted towards women's shopping, gifts, etc.,  If your book is about computers, there's a computer webring you'd fit right into.  You have to think BROADLY when marketing your book.  Do not confine yourself.  People shopping for wedding gowns or party goods also like to read- so create a way to incorporate your book into that webring.  How?  Well, one of the methods I've used is what I call a 'tie in.'  Let's say I want to promote my book on a home decorating webring or topsite.  Most would say, "Hey, what's I Never Held You have to do with home decorating?"  NOTHING.  But, it may be of interest to those who are decorating their homes.  So, I simply tie it in to the theme of the webring.  For example:  "Need a break from decorating?  Have you suffered a miscarriage and need help/support?"  You get the idea.  It's all about stepping outside of the confines of self limitation.  Or, as Taco Bell says, "Think outside of the bun." (Something like that...)

"Junk mail is only junk if its message is of no use to the receiver."  Think about it.  It's something I learned WAY back when I was in advertising, and it stuck with me.

That being said, here are some fantastic webring I've created and manage. On the Free Promotion page, you'll find a virtual plethora of free advertising and promotion, i.e., classified ads, etc.  A note:  There's no menu on that page.  Just hit the back button on your browser to come back here.  It really is LOADED with so many resources you could literally spend hours there.  You may want to bookmark it and go back later. Explore, have fun, and spread the word about YOUR SPECIAL CREATION! If you don't tell anyone about it, no one knows it exists!

My fantastic webrings.  Find them HERE. Some I manage, some others manage. I highly suggest adding your site to webrings! Just remember, you must place the webring navigation code on the page you registered with.  A 'webring' page is just fine, but please make sure the address you register with is the SAME one you place the navigation code on.

The Best,
Ellen
